Oliveaux
Oliveaux is a Brisbane-based interior design practice, boutique and online emporium that showcases some pretty amazing stuff. Established by Amanda Harris, Oliveaux is where I would go to find that classic piece with a twist. After spending way too long on their blog I am coveting the following items bad. Real bad.
Tamzin Greenhill
I stumbled across these pictures of Tamzin Greenhill whilst flicking through an old copy of Elle Magazine and immediately ripped them out and stuffed them in my 'inspiration bag' (Some people have inspiration boards, I have a Nine West shopping bag operating as a faux filing system.) Tamzin is an interior designer specialising in interior architecture - spacial planning, lighting, bathroom and kitchen design as well as the furniture, fabrics and finishes. I think she is pretty cool. You can view her portfolio here

I wish I lived in the U.S.
I love Australia but it's times like this that I wished I lived in the U.S. I have fallen in love with the G.H. Bass Shoes Wayfarer-L Gold AND THEY DON'T DELIVER TO AUSTRALIA!
The Wayfarer-L Gold. Shame on you G.H. Bass Shoes and your international shipping policy!
With this in mind I turned to trusty ASOS (http://www.asos.com/) and even though these options are not shiny and gold they are still pretty cool.
Bag it!
I love bags. Just love them. As far as I'm concerned you can never have too many. They can transform an outfit and pull together something as simple as jeans and a shirt. Now that my collection is getting bigger I am trying to experiment with different colours and shapes. I usually spend a bit to guarantee quality, however I picked up the below three clutches from Sportsgirl (http://www.sportsgirl.com.au/) for a total steal- $39 each!
Other bags that I am wanting and dropping some pretty big hints on (hello Santa!) include................
Liz Pop Sling in Tan (I hide the strap)
Liz Pop Sling in Melon
Ibiza Beaded Clutch
Other bags that I am wanting and dropping some pretty big hints on (hello Santa!) include................
Fendi Chameleon Duffel Bag- So classic. http://www.fendi.com/
Sambag Nesrin Large Red Leather Luggage Case $260 http://www.sambag.com.au/
Marc Jacobs Classic Q Lil Ukita $428 http://www.marcjacobs.com/
I have had the Marc Jacobs Huge Hiller Hobo for over a year and it still looks brand new. Quality!

Mellow Yellow
Yellow is a funny color for me. I love it because it reminds me of summer and is so darn cheerful, but I hate it because I look terrible in it and no matter what, I just can’t pull it off. The solution (for me anyway) is to add a splash here and there, both through my accessories and in our home. One of my favorite looks is a mustard dress or top with a red lip. Awesome.
If you want to decorate with yellow, here are some tips that I have picked up along the way.
If you want to decorate with yellow, here are some tips that I have picked up along the way.
- If you're a bit apprehensive about adding yellow to your color scheme start with minor accessories that add a small splash of color. Think cushions, vases, lamps etc. A little will often go a long way.
- If you'd rather stay away from stronger hues (perfect for statement pieces), try a pale yellow. They're easier to use than brighter ones and a bit "safer" to use for walls and large pieces of furniture.
- Yellow can be paired with any color, since it tends to take on the hues of whatever it's paired with. Even the most unlikely colors can work perfectly with your yellow if you use the right amount of intensity. For a general guideline, the following colors are popular choices when added to yellow: red, pink, black, brown, turquoise and orange. Although not as popular, green, blue and purple go great as well.
- Mixing different shades of yellow in the same room will look cluttered and disorganised if you don't add another color to ground it. Black is commonly used, however I much prefer soft greys and whites.
- If you're set on painting your walls yellow, try balancing it with neutral furniture

The White House
Sarah Palin is not the only lady after a White House to call her own, a white exterior is my number one dream house requirement. Located in the country and with a white picket fence would also be nice please.
I know that the above house is not white, but I just fell in love with it. It belongs to Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband and it's just divine. If I am wanting White House inspiration I love visiting http://acountryfarmhouse.blogspot.com/ Trina's house (and that deck!) is breathtaking and beautifully photographed
